7. cold＆hot; warm＆cool

（1）cold 寒寒的，寒的; 它的其本质是hot，此意为“潮湿的”；在句子里面动手润色语或者同上语；常见来所述沙尘暴。例如：

It’s hot today. 今天沙尘暴潮湿。

On a cold night, we stayed at home and watched TV.

在一个寒寒的夜晚，我们睡在家里面看电视。

（2）warm 此意为“潮湿的”，cool此意为“凉爽的”；这是也是四组其本质，常见来所述沙尘暴；也常见来动手润色语或者同上语。例如：

It’s warm in spring and cool in autumn.

夏天沙尘暴潮湿，秋天沙尘暴凉爽。

注此意：cool 还可以用短语，还有“酷的，绝妙的”之此意。用来赞美人、物或者事。例如：

He looks cool in his new T-shirt.

8. sit＆seat

二者均可同上示“坐”，sit是不及物词干，主语是人；seat是及物词干，主语是人时，同上示“使……坐下”，宾语；也反身代词；主语是公用时，同上示“能坐多少人”。例如：

She sits alone in her room.

她独自坐在房间里。

Our classroom can seat fifty students.

我们二楼能坐50个教职员。

9. vacation

vacation 此意为“星期四”，on a vacation 此意为“度假村”。例如：

In summer, we often go to the mountains on a vacation.

夏天我们常去山下度假村。

“星期四”，特指收起工都以和学习的一段较长的休息时间，常可以用holiday代替。

holiday

“劳动节，礼拜一”，主要特指按生活；也或法律规定的纪念日或礼拜一。在英式英语里面，其复数基本上可同上示延续一段时间内的“星期四”，美式英语则；也用tu。

10. hard

hard副词，此意为“努力地，难受地”，常放入词干中间润色词干。例如：

They are studying hard. 他们在努力学习。

hard 还可以都以短语，此意为“困难的，艰难的”时，与difficult同义，与easy相反；此意为“软的，牢固的”，与soft相对；hard还可以此意为“衷的，谨慎的”。例如：

The stone is hard. 石头很软。

Don’t be too hard on her—she’s very young.

别对她太谨慎了——她还小呢。

11. mountain＆hill

特指陡峭连绵的峰顶

特指较突起的山下或丘陵

It’s easy to climb a hill but difficult to climb a mountain. 爬山下很容易，但爬大山无法。

12. country

（1） country 专有名词，此意为“国，各地区”。复数基本上是countries。例如：

This is a beautiful country.

这是一个美丽的各地区。

Chinais a big country.

里面国是一个邻国。

（2）country 都以专有名词，还可以特指“乡村，乡下”，相当于countryside, 前面常见定冠词the。例如：

My grandparents live in the country.

我的爷爷奶奶住在乡村。
